I fitted an Xpelair bathroom extractor fan for a client.
It was fine for a week and then after her morning shower it kept running. 6 hours later, I removed the humidistat and it turned off (after reaching the timer over run period).
I tested the humidistat but didn't get any continuity.
In the meantime she just used the light switch to control it.
A week later, with the humidistat still showing no continuity (and the bathroom not having been used for 24 hours), I put it back in to the extractor fan, as soon as I did the extractor turned on.
Should the absence of moisture result in a lack of continuity in the sensor?
