Hypothetical question involving potential insurance fraud

They always have done and always will do.
And of course re: motor insurance, some drivers are happy to pay even though non compliant for various reasons

Means they safely get through checkpoints apnr etc although their insurance is invalid in the event of a claim

Yes .

You're saying that the shed was robbed but they were checking the house doors and windows to ensure compliancewith t+c 's ?

If not the policy was void and no payout

In the meantime insurance will happily take a non-complaint policyholders money until a claim arises . Easy money.
Yes, the loss adjustor said so. I was fine.

It is still theft whether the door is locked or unlocked.

windows had locks on
We renovated a house last winter and it had old UPVC windows with locks on, that were being replaced. There was one key for all the windows, which were all locked. The old key was bent and eventually snapped off in one of the locks. The customer was giving me a dressing down moaning she could not open any of the windows, as I was pleading that they are being replaced anyway. So I stepped over to the top opener and snatched the handle up and opened the window for her and walked off and said "is there any more you'd like opening..."
