I’m surprised the usual lot haven’t pounced on this story…

Blaming Brexit, still, is pointless trolling. You may as well hark back to times before international terrorism as times before Brexit.

There's a known capacity on travel by that route. The boat operators know what the customs capacity is, and should be allowing a factor for typical French customs cooperation or lack of it.
Capacity partly depends on the number of boats, or more wouldn't have been put on at the last minute to ease the situation.

This is just British mismanagement.
Brexit is the cause.

every passport now has to be checked, scanned, stamped.

Dover infrastructure was built for flow rates designed for EU membership.

if the UK rejoined the single market, the problem would disappear.

Yep. And nothing to do with anything that couldn’t be solved due to Brexit.
You mean a lot of cost and effort to,sort out yet another problem created by brexit.

Really strange, I can’t recall a single time during the Easter rush that there’s been delays at ports and airports. Oh, tell a lie, it happens every. ****ing. year.
I know, right?
And yet people still gamely go every year, expecting things to be different.
Insanity defined.

Oh, Brexit was the cause of there not being enough boats, was it?

We're into our 4th year of being exited now, so change the bloody record! Deal with it stop whining!
It is now our own management fault, stop pretending,

The UK isn't going to rejoin "any time soon". Get used to it and stop trying to live in the past!

got nothing to do with boats

thank you for admitting brexit is a massive failure, leading to higher costs, higher delays for no benefit

The UK isn't going to rejoin "any time soon"
the UK is very likely to rejoin the SM within a decade

the next govt will start reversing the damage
