I don't care if it cost a fortune...

Not too bad really. Local council spent more on one and it was dire.

Good display.

The Chinese made me laugh. Although it's not their actual new year for a few more weeks, they thought they would also celibrate with the rest of the world.

However, they said they weren't having fireworks, as they aren't environmentally friendly. At the same time, they are grabbing the earth's resources, exporting $hite all over the world, and someone in China is probably cutting the ribbon on a new coal-fired power station.

Also, let's not forget who invented fireworks.

You couldn't make it up.

Happy New Hypocrisy!

Big spread in todays paper thats the cost quoted.
But I would guess thats just for the fireworks.

What a waste of money. We could have used that money on Legal Aid for three asylum seekers.

Bristol boys? Are they 't*t lovers' then? :?

Absolutely fantastic... The British spend more time than is healthy running themselves down and convincing themselves that they are third rate hasbeens but you need to show the world what you can do... This display, the Olympics, the Queens Jubilee...Then once you have the worlds attention....

I would have liked a choice, do we either use the 2 million to pay for more nurses police firemen's wages etc...or....exactly!! Fireworks win every time!!
