Reading the spec on a combi=boiler.
What does the min and max CO rating relate to?
ie CO Min rating PPM 0-40
but Max ratimg PPM 40-120.

I know this may be considered a gas question but I cannot get on CC, as I am not GS, but preparing for ACS.

Hi Dan, so how would you discriminate minimum rate from maximum rate, whilst analysing?
For instance if a controlled test made by myself under supervision, gave a CO of 75ppm, with HW on at max but CH off.
Is this considered in the max rating or is there something I am missing?

I assume other reading would be related to C02, C0/CO2

It doesn't matter what the boiler is heating, only that it can dissipate heat in the output required for the time needed to test and adjust.

The figures aimed for depend on the MI's.

Different heat engines have different profiles and methods of adjustment.

Action level being the industry standard, ladybird book you might call it.

I aim for high CO2/low CO , all burners will differ may it be forced draught/premix/atmospheric/induced draught.....
Forced draught burners tolerate higher CO2%.
Normally if CO is in excess of 100ppm then a reason to investigate.
