Hi, on Friday morning I got up and after a few seconds the water from my kitchen taps ran out. The cold taps in the bathroom are still working but I think we have a tank in the attic which is where I assume that water is coming from. Although I'm not absolutely certain as I am too small to get up into my attic properly even with a ladder. My stopclocks are all on. The water board say it's nothing to do with the mains in the street. I live on the top floor of a tenement building but all the neighbours I have spoken to say their water is fine. There seems to be no leakages. It's not cold enough for the pipes to have frozen. Is it possible we have an air lock? between the flat below and mine? If so is there anything I can do? It's been three days now and I'm worried the bathroom water will run out soon and i physically can't afford to call out a plumber just now. Any help much appreciated thank you.

Your water company are obliged to provide a water supply, which they apparently haven't been doing since Friday. Call them out to sort it out.

Thanks but I already phoned Scottish water - all they are required to do is supply water to the tenement block from the mains in the street. Which they are doing as everyone else in my block has running water, just not our flat. Therefore, it is something wrong with our pipes and isn't their problem. Any ideas what else it could be? I am rubbish at these sort of things and can't make sense of why just our flat would be affected.
