Hello!
I have just installed a new basin in my bathroom but it's not attached to the wall strongly enough. The reason is because it's attached to a tiled plasterboard wall with large cavity behind and the fixings which were recommended by my local plumber's merchants (These: http://www.screwfix.com/prods/71804/Fixings/Furniture-Fixings/Fischer-Basin-Fixing-Kit) aren't suitable and start to pull out once I start to tighten the nuts. The basin's fixing holes are large (about an inch or so) hence the fixings I was given in a plumbing merchants.
What alternative fixing can I use that is suitable for such large fixing holes in the basin and is also suitable for the plasterboard cavity wall.
NB: The basin is on a pedestal so the wall doesn't need to take the weight of the basin.
Any help greatly appreciated!
