OMG hardly that... I am carrying injuries so just going very lightly targeting different muscle groups to warm up at the moment, once I am ok I will be twice a week intense training.
 
If you are training them properly, you won't be training them again for a week.
If he's training them.properly he can train on day two but with reduced reps. If recovery takes a week he has massively overdone it.

Training in the early days is low weight between 8 and 12 reps, 3 sets. If the weight is correct then after rep 12 you should feel like like you can rep to 14.

Only squatting 15 kg. Very light and gentle to get my legs stronger before any high intensity reps.
