I Replaced Drayton with Hive. Not working right (Ed.)

Recently replaced a Drayton with a hive. Standard Worcester Boiler. Replaced the thermostat and was told the Hive receiver would be compatible with the Drayton back plate receiver. Hot water working perfect. Schedule heating perfect but cannot control the heating via the app. Tried to boost or alter temperature, again no problem with hot water, but although the green light goes on the receiver heating does not kick in the boiler. Any easy solution?
 
Have you removed the existing thermostat? Did you connect the live and switched live together?
