Flogged for pulling the buggy over with you seems a bit harsh. I mean, she's a British grandmother. She's probably over 30 years old!

not convinced.... that baby wasn't targeted.. and yes was potentially injured, possibly quite badly. But if you look at child abuse as a crime... then what happened to that baby was nothing really. Baby P at it's vile peak... along with sexual abuse.... sickens me !!!
Not condoning those tw@ts... but in context... ?
But that said if the judicial system worked then that crime wouldn't have happened !!

These two blokes saw two women pushing a pram and tried ripping the handbags off them, causing a baby laden pram to be hurled to the ground. How would you feel if it was your womenfolk pushing your child/grandchild?

I agree... but lets get the whole system in context...
I posted a video the other night..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KfsKEZUZwE of a 2 yr old girl run over twice and ignored... who later died... disgusting human behaviour,,, but i got short shrift on here.. mainly from Alarm.... who had a point... but i saw it as a sick act of non compassion.... it's a subject matter that we all have differeing views on..

I missed that thread - possibly deliberately since such things upset me. It's an interesting point you seem to be making. The video you posted suggested apathy/pass the buck, whereas mine involved criminal intent with associated asocial behaviour.
Which is worse? Dunno. But I still think these two "humans" should be hung up and publicly flogged to within an inch of their lives.

i think the crimes are very similar.... neither set out to kill or maim, but either could've..... one was petty theft, the other bad driving, but both wrong.. one ended with a dead child, the other could've
