ICE told to get the eff out

I think that is very likely. But he shouldn't be back on duty in that case. Also, his behaviour was vey unprofessional. Who deliberately stands in front of a moving car.

The car wasn't moving as he stepped in front of it, then reversed.

Why didn't he just step out of the way as stated in the rules.

He did, or at least he tried to, but the vehicle was moving too fast, for him to completely clear it.

Bit of a tangent but connected to the thread.

Although I'm making a point of not watching YT stuff that riles me any more (we'll see how long that lasts!) I used to watch stuff from folk like Charlie Veitch. He'd go right into the eye of the proverbial storm to film various protest marches and the like. Some of them got very loud and often very heated and dangerous.

It never ceased to amaze me that you'd see folk attending these things with children and toddlers in toe. Some with tiny toddlers in pushchairs. My immediate thought was 'why the feck are you taking your young kids into situations like that?!?'

This woman had a family and kids at home. Whilst maybe laudable to attend these ICE raids to raise your concerns and disgust, do it in such a way that completely mitigates your chance of being hurt or worse. They must surely know that, rightly or wrongly, some of these ICE agents will no doubt be trigger happy given the right scenario, so don't put yourself in a situation like that.

I don't know how these things work from a legal perspective, however if she had just stopped and got out, chances are they might have asked for her ID etc then let her on her way? All they'd had from her pre incident was some verbal?

Tragic yes, but avoidable.

It's always a good idea to be moving lightly before turning the steering wheel.

Power steering makes it possible, but it's not good for the steering components, to do it whilst stationary
You just need to not be on the footbrake, so the wheels are free to turn as the steering turns.

But, and I don't know whether this is covered in the Highway Code or not, I'd say it's a bad idea to drive towards someone's leg, especially if they're pointing a gun at you.

How else was she (having been asked to mover her car) going to steer around a masked murderer that positioned himself, close to her car? She was on the road wasn't she?

She wasn't asked to move her car, she was told to get out of her car. Massive difference in wording between your version and the actual incident. Please stick to the facts and not twist words as well as adding bits in. You don't work for the BBC.

Eh?!? Are cops all murderers who need mowing down as some sort of self-defence?

Roads are all shared spaces, people on foot have as much right as cars, if not more. You definitely can't deliberately ram a pedestrian with 2 tons of weapon just because they're in your way.

I think you will find that I am correct and that this shooting was justified. I am not making light of the fact that this poor woman was shot dead, that is a terrible tragedy but her own actions have caused her death. There was no telling her to move her car as has been mentioned on here, that is a lie. She was told to get out of her car and the ICE agents identified themselves to her. She chose to do this.
The masked gunman could have chosen not to kill her, and avoid all this fuss.

I saw no one mown down. I saw no one hurt or injured except the murdered women. I saw a masked armed man deliberately position himself at the front of her vehicle. I saw a man shoot a petrified woman dead at point blank range.

He should have peacefully got run over?

At the time of the first shot he wouldn't have known whether she intended to turn left, right or whatever. She was definitely deliberately ramming him, without a doubt. He wouldn't have had chance for a full enquiry into the wheel position before shots 2 and 3. It was self-defence, I'd imagine any cop would do likewise.

Oh come on, just admit you're talking rubbish. You've stretched your weird version of reality way beyond breaking point.

Have a look at the actual footage with an open mind and stop being a tribal muppet.
