I've posted the video a couple of pages back in a CNN article. Link below. It is the only video which shows properly where everyone is standing. I thought the still gave a pretty good summary of the situation, especially for people who are late to the game like @motorbiking.

The ones stating that this was cold blooded murder are simply ignoring the facts, the law and are blind and over excited at the fact that this lady brought it on herself, there is plenty of video evidence showing this and take note that the ones who are trying to say it was illegal are all the usual Trump haters and all defenders of illegal immigrants. Biased opinions where as us who say that this was a lawful killing are completely unbiased towards our opinion.

I can't see any credible argument that there was a pause between shots 1,2 and 3.
I would say he was close enough to the front of the vehicle to be at a reasonable risk she was clearly being told to stop and ignored the instructions.

By "their" test, I reckon it's close, but not close enough.

A pretty dramatic set up where everyone knew where to position themselves and even knew what her move would be whilst telling her to get out of the car.

Plus the local authorities who have been frozen out of the investigation. Any idea why that may be ?

The official line is a federal investigation, but that usually takes into account the local knowledge and input
