I have a wind tunnel for a driveway and want to make my back garden more private. I need a gate across the whole driveway to do this but I can only secure it on the house wall side.
Was thinking of making it like a five-bar gate as a frame then putting virtical latts spaced on either side so that the wind can still get through (sort of) but the latts are overlapped enough so that nothing can be seen. I will need a wheel on the far end as it will be heavy and only fixed to the house. Also my only anchor will the locking pole into the ground. If this is not sufficient I was thinking of making a hinged triangle which could fold out and provide some front/back support if it is very windy.
Would this work ok? Is it overkill? are there better or easier ways to do it?
