Hi - does anyone have any suggestions about what to do with the situation in the photo below? After some building work, the incoming mains water pipe is now on show and is too deep to be cover by skirting. Not sure what to do/ how to cover it - especially without causing any condensation etc.
Thanks

You either insulate, box it and then do the skirting or, paint it and terminate the skirting either side of it.
I would box it.

Pack out the skirting and fit a surface mount terminal box to cover the elbow with some of the back removed and a blanking plate on the front perhaps.

Very poor planning, should have been replaced with plastic and sink under floor.

How far out from the face of the plaster does it project? Can you post a photo from further away showing the whole wall?
