Ideal C35 Running Cost

Oh that's a shame. The app normally shows usage in kWh as well as the meter readings in m3. I would have liked to have seen that screenshot! It's all very suspicious. I can't imagine how it's happened. Bizarre.
Rubbish in, rubbish out. Computer error, finger trouble, cant possibly be wrong sir must be your calculator needs a new battery.

Thanks. It's crazy. It can't just be you. These things are done by software programming. Did you say others on a forum are having the same problem?

I would contact BBC Watchdog or Which magazine.
It is crazy! Not sure of others having same problem, but I do agree there must be more having the same issue. What's even worse is I've already taken this on twice before with OVO and basically been told that it is what it is. It's only now that I've really done my homework and THINK I'm onto something. Lesson learned.

To be fair, the phone droids likely get lots of people complaining about their bills and the cost of energy these days, so they become used to saying that line..

For interest, does a Smart Gas Meter have a flashing LED like on my Elec meter where 1000 flases is 1.0kWh which can be handy for working out instantaneous power usage, if it (gas meter) does have this flashing LED, how many flases/m3?
My bi monthly bill just shows the usage for the previous period but not a meter reading which I find a bit strange, I do write it down at the end of each period, the supplier posts a daily rolling spreadsheet with 48X 1/2hr readings which is easy enough to summate and compare the usage to the difference in my meter readings, its allways spot on but if any dispute arises then because no record of recorded meter readings (at my end anyway), harder to resolve.

No, nothing like that, they cannot afford the battery power. The gas meter is battery powered, for measurement, and relaying it's readings to the electric meter.

I've no idea unfortunately. What I refer to as our "smart meter" is just the external meter that sends SMS to our provider.

If a gas company don't know how to convert between metric and imperial they're in the wrong business!

Can you post a photo of that meter, if it shows m3 and you take a screenshot at midnight for a few nights and use this as proof since your screenshots will have a datestamp then there simply cant be any argument?, or is this what you have done?

I've done most of what you suggest. There own data is damning. The meter readings look correct. It is how they then convert to KwH that seems to be the problem.

Makes you wonder, just how long they have been charging at that rate. How long have you been in the house, how long with that gas supplier?
