Ideal Classic Boiler

Hi all,I have a Ideal Classic RS30 Boiler and it is not fireing up, Pilot lights on pump runs when timer on, No Fan so not that, Any Ideas

Isolating switch on wall turned off? If not that simple then you need a multimeter to check for voltages at boiler stat and gas valve and incoming supply.After that its a engineer call I'm afraid.

yes isolation switch on and ok checked there is power at boiler with a volt stick an there is power there? so what you thinking? Gas valve????

You need a meter to measure if 240 is being applied to the gas valve solenoid.

Then measure the solenoid resistance and it may be O/C.

If the indication is the gas valve is failed then it needs a registered engineer to replace at about £160 depending on the cost of the gas valve.
