Ideal Classic continues sparking !

I have been called for advice by someone who has this problem and has changed his PCB with no change.

This might have been mentioned here a little while ago. I would not expect the PCB to allow this to happen.

Does anyone know why this boiler could work OK but carry on sparking?

I also cannot see how this could happen if the pcb is good. I doubt it, but could it be that the pilot flame is too small and therefore not allowing full rectification?

I would also bear in mind that a new pcb could well be faulty and would probably return it and exchange under warranty.

Reversed polarity will cause classic to keep sparking but if memory serves me right don`t think it would allow boiler to fire up
