We have an Ideal classic NF60 Gas boiler with thermostore. We experience an intermittent fault. The boiler heats normal for a few hours, but then stops working for about 2 hours and then continues normally again without any outside help. This happens once or twice per week.

I looked into the boiler stat (ST25 sensor). I am measuring 2.7kOhm in cold condition and 2.43kOhm in hot condition. Are these values correct?

How hot does the boiler get if setting is on 1 or 6?

Thank you, Juergen

are you sure its not just up to temperature

These kind of faults often need a check of the electrical situation when the fault is in evidence.

It might be within the control system or in the boiler! A simple check under fault conditions will show it up!

Tony[/quo Tony,

What checks could I do myself? I have got a Digital multimeter, but not much else.

Thanks, Juergen
