ideal classic SE15FF pilot light has gone out.....

Hi
the pilot light has gone out. The reset button on the side is solid and so can't be pressed - am I missing something really obvious?

Any help welcome.

The boiler doesnt have a pilot light as such. Only when firing up will it light a pilot briefly.

When you turn the heating/hot water on what happens?

Does the pump run? Can you hear the boiler doing anything?

Sorry - the light which normally comes on and can be seen through the window on the boiler isn't appearing. There's no sound of the boiler actually coming on and we have no heating or hot water.

You need to check whether the boiler is getting power to come on. On the SE there is an orange light on the pcb that illuminates when it gets power. The PCB is in the housing behind the fold down flap. Can you see this?
