Good morning,
I do apologise for asking a question on my first posting however I am a but flummoxed with my boiler!

I have an Ideal Esprit HE30 which is about 3 years old. Yesterday it was absolutely fine, we haven't had the heating on for a few weeks as the tropical weather in Yorkshire has been astounding.

However, this morning we have no hot water, the boiler is not showing any fault and the CH is firing up just fine. I have reset it but to no avail and I have isolated the power for at least 5 mins but that has not done anything either.

Please help!!!!

Thanks in advance!

Assuming your boiler is a combi then the DHW deman switch seems not to be operating!

Check how old it is as I'm pretty sure they came with a five year warranty

No there is no change to the display when a dhw tap is turned on it continues to show '0'.
Surely if the demand switch had gone it would show a fault?

Cheers

Cheers but it was a 3 year warranty which amazingly ran out this April!!

I am thinking that it might be the DHW Thermistor, does anyone know if they are easy to replace?

Chris

If the demand switch had failed then the boiler would not know that there was any demand and so could not show that there was any fault!
