Ideal H30 isar goes into preheat every 3 mins. Gas bill huge

Hi. I wonder if anyone can help me please. I am new on here and just a normal domestic customer of a 2 year old Ideal ISAR H30.

I have read the user manual that says if no demend is made on DHW then t and the burner LED will come on periodically to maintain the plate heat exchanger.

As this is happening every 3minutes and running up my gas bill, can this be lessened or functionality turned off. Is every 3 minutes suggesting a faulty part, inappropriate settings or is this normal functioning?

Any help would be very much appeciated. Thanks!

Have you got a dripping hot tap ?

turn the cold water supply off to the boiler, if it stops firing every 3 mins you have a dripping tap or leak on hot outlets somewhere.
There is a pre-heat disable kit available, costs about £100 and looks pants under the boiler.
