Hi,
I'm having issues with my ideal Independent C24 combi boiler. We're not getting any hot water or central heating - the boiler is showing F1 fault which I understand is low water pressure, although the pressure gauge is showing 1.4 bar which from what I've been reading should be pretty much where it should be (1-2 bar seems to be the working range?). Turning on hot water tap or central heating doesn't do anything, the boiler doesn't work and the F1 fault continues to show. The only temporary fix I found is to pressurise the boiler to 2-2.2 bar. The F1 fault goes and the boiler fires up straight away and we get hot water and central heating. However when central heating is turned off and/or hot water tap isn't run for a while e.g overnight, and boiler cools down, the pressure drops to 1.4 bar again and F1 fault shows. Only way to get hot water or central heating again is to repressurise it back to 2-2.2 bar. Obviously this is a temporary fix and I want to get to the bottom of why it's showing F1 fault for 'low water pressure' even with 1.4 bar in the system. Any help would be massively appreciated.
Thanks,
Archie.
