Hi,
In need of advice about my boiler.

The display panel on the boiler has not worked for a few months but boiler has been working normally. Took out a service plan on it but as the display fault was pre existing this is not covered ( I know stable door and horse spring to mind) ....... engineer recommended getting a new display panel. I have been on various trying to get a display panel but no luck so far!
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Gas Spares Preston can normally provide any required parts. As it is not particularly gas related and it's very simple to change I expect they might sell you one.

i'm not an Ideal person so couldn't be absolutely sure, but what i suspect is that all you are lacking is display information, the two potentiometers which dictate temperatures are probably working fine. So all you lack is fault codes and information about what the boiler is doing at the moment. So aslong as the boiler is functioning and reponding apropriately to the temperature you have selected, no great hurry to change it.
