ideal istor he260m error code

Hi,

My crappy ideal istor boiler as decided to flash up yet another error code and surprisingly it is not mentioned in the manual. When switched back on the display changes to a 0 and then to three vertical lines on top of each other. Has anyone got any ideas what this means.....thanks

Is the boiler working?

It almost sounds like a display fault.

The Istor boiler is basically an Isar boiler sitting on top of an unvented hot water cylinder.

One teriffic design feature is that the electric immersion heater means that whenever the boiler fails ( which is often ) then you can still have hot water!

The assumption would usually be that its probably a PCB fault. The only way to confirm that is usually by fitting a new one. Because they are so expensive its usually best to call BG for a fixed price repair.

It means the boiler has overheated,check pressure and
Adjust if needed.
Turn off at main switch,then back on again,the reset does
Not work for this fault.
If it happens again it could mean the pump is faulty

Do you have air in the system?

As after taking radiators off or draining the system?
