Ideal Logic C30 8 years old. Hive connection.

Hi.
I am having a very frustrating time trying to connect a new hive system to this boiler. The boiler has since new had they ideal RF programmer connected which whilst it works is cumbersome.
I have removed the RF programmer and wired the Hive exactly as described, in both relay and opentherm. I do not mind which system it runs on, relay would be fine.

All connections between hub and receiver etc are good. The boiler will not fire when asked to via the thermostat or when forced via the button on the receiver. I can hear the solenoid click in the receiver but no boiler function.
I have tried all options that seem logical.
I do see that quite a lot of people have issues with this boiler and hive, one option seems to be to add a link wire between live and terminal 1 but the boiler model was the same but the images showed a different connection grid.
Any help would be very appreciated, i am a sunday wasted already.

You do have Heating selected on the front to on? It might be because the original installation had the RF receiver and is consequently looking for that, but check the temp is up and heating selected on the front first.

yes heating is selected on via the control knob.

I would say it’s to do with the original receiver then. If there’s an override , connect it back up and see if this works then using the Hive.

hi, this is not an option, the boiler does not require the ideal wireless receiver and it is an option. Any thermostat should work, wired or wireless.

Thanks for you help tho, there will be an answer to the hive issue, hopefully someone has it.

Yes they could be, they have been on and off many times, they are however not connected to the issue I am having.

This doesn’t make any sense. I know any thermostat should work, but, imo, you have removed a link but haven’t reinstated it and reluctant to try what I’ve suggested.
