I have a boiler just over 2 years, has developed a dripping issue which seems to be intermittent , I keep checking and at times there may be a single droplet on the black triangular shaped part, which I think is a service item or point, and a puddle below. standard condensing boiler not a combi

Any idea ?

Not a great boiler noisy also

I have images just not sure how to show them on here ?[/img]

I hope you carried out a full combustion test, checked combustion seal integrity. Took the inlet gas pressure and a gas rate!
These are the tests you need to do when removing the COMBUSTION PANEL from these boilers.

I have not touched it, nor am I likely to unless it was something very simple. I am just hoping to get a good understanding or heads up of the expected problem. I take ideal leaking is a typical issue with this boiler.

Sounds like the seal on the sump plate is leaking and will need replacing.

I initially thought that, however what I don't understand is why it is intermittent

We have the exact same problem. (Ideal Logic 15) Yes most certainly intermittent too. Only way so far to keep it under control is by manually emptying the condensate chamber which was 4/5 full. Dripping now stopped. This has occurred twice in the last 2 years. Ironically just as boiler out of warranty. It also has horrid noisy fan! But it's always been that way. When the engineer emptied the water chamber we both tried reproducing how the water gets into it and why it doesn't syphon over into the outlet pipe! Seems crazy as it's clean with no blockages etc!
