To all gas Engineers

I have fitted 2 logics and was a sceptic due to the rubbish that normally comes from ideal.

reason for using them they are small

look ok 2me very quiet, easy for custumers to understand the controls and i have to say no probs to date

yes ideal have made a boiler that has so far managed to last a little over a year, lets all celebrate whhhhhhhhhhhoooo

i have to admit after looking at a display model in the merchants the other day i am starting to alter my hardline opinion on the logic.
i had a good look round it and to my surprise i can see definate advantages.
i take back some of my earlier criticism, because the logic has such a lovely flat top to it, its such a great place to rest my coffee in the morning, if i clumsily spill a bit when i pick it up or set it down again at least im not soiling the merchants counter.
when ever im having a stressful day, i pop in the merchants for a drink and give it a good kick in the blow hole.

Still reckon they were designed by the bloke who designed the morris marina etc

that is not the reason i fit ideals, Ideal boilers are a good boilers.

your proberly the type of person that believes theres still weapons of mass destruction in Iraq!

what planet are you living on name one ideal boiler that is 'good' apart from the ideal classic and mexico and even then thats down to the technological capabilities of the time/era

why dont you just come out the flipping closet and expose your self as the ideal salesman you are your proberly the managing directors sibbling or something, im actually upset as to how you could come to the conclusion that ideal boilers are 'good' i feel patronised

Had to go and fix a fan on a Weapon of mass destruction in Iraq, wasn't made by Ideal, think it was Ferroli, fitted a few Logic+, I like them, not had any trouble with any of the Isar/Icos range either.

marina was ok. the person who decided to stick tat to it and re-name it the ital should be shot.

Never really got involved with fitting Ideal boilers ! but the facts are that Ideal have caused alot of damage to installers over the years with some pretty shoddy products !

They have cost installers time , money & damaged there reputations , Ideals response true to form for any or most manus is to blame the installer , in an attempt to weasel there way out of any responsibility !

So Ideal have learnt from there mistakes , an brought out the logic , it may well be the best boiler since sliced bread ?? but many installers have suffered the consequences of installing Ideals , & you do not reward or purchase from a company who has damaged u !

Remember Lancia cars , they have never fully recovered from the rust buckets they dumped into the Uk years ago & quite rightly so !!

lancia made or copied some great engines but being italian they can't put sheet steel together and make it last longer than a penny chew.

with the UK's ****e weather and propensity to throw loads of salt on a road rather than buy decent tyres they were doomed.

but I am of the opinion that if some of these boiler manus dumped the same products into the US market ,as they do here , they would be spending most of there time in the courts , we however (UK) poke up with it

WB tanked and tankless gas (their name) water heaters are cheap here

electric ones (state ) cost more

this lot have actually grasped the concept of 2 pipe flues

havent grasped the concept of connecting the prv however

combis 10 years or so

americans in the south don't like change
