ideal mini c28 starting problem

wonder if anyone can help me .i have a problem with my ideal mini c28.the fault is that the boiler will frequently not fire up when the central heating is switched on and the same with the hot water but once switched off at the socket or i press the enter button on the built in time clock the boiler will work perfect ..the boiler does not fail to fire all the time though and when fired stays fired ...would appreciate someones help thanks
