Is this an ideal standard toilet has a 2inch Gerbit flush valve. Need to do a cistern rebuild. Just wondering if will be the circular donut washer. Thanks

If it's a semi-concealed cistern like that, the doughnut usually sits in the moulded recess on the underside of the cistern rather than the pan - the flush valve clamps down through it. Just match the washer to the valve you've got fitted and you'll be fine.
So I swapped the flush valve washer and water still ran into the pan. It isn't the fill valve as this shut off ok and well below the over flow line. Would it be ok to undo bolts split the cistern and fit a new flush valve, fill valve, toilet bolts and donut washer? Thanks
