Identify cables for removal

Hello.

I just wanted to double check here. I have these cables running thru the house upstairs, pretty sure they’re old phone cables and I can rip them out and the boxes

Is this correct? Any particular way I should terminate these cables?

No. If you know that they are not in use then its better to rip the whole lot out.

Old 'phone cables.
BT symbol (1999 -2003) on two of the boxes. and (1981 - 1999) symbol on one other

They are certainly phone cables.

Remember though that "phone" includes ADSL and VDSL (aka fibre to the cabinet) services. So even if you don't use a landline phone, they may still be in use carrying your broadband service.
