Terminating Cables

At least someone is thinking, seen this before. A radial in the kitchen no longer used. All conductors unsheathed/insulated and just chucked under the floorboards!

I agree and I applaud the OP for asking the question. Leaving un-insulated cables (live or dead) is unacceptable practice and downright dangerous but I do not see what is wrong with cutting the cable at an angle, ensure no copper projecting then wrapping with good quality insulating tape or self amalgamating tape. We have some tie on labels which are very useful for identifying unused conductors (ink directly written on them tends to fade after some time)

I think the chocbox is far better than a bit of tape. It only costs pence.

Go with the choc-box myself. And a bit of good quality tape around the lot :D
