Identifying a type of Rivet

Hope you guys can help me out, I am restoring a car that has a universal joint in the gear change assembly. To re-plate the various pieces I had to dis-assemble the UJ joint which meant drilling out what I call a rivet type fixing as shown in the attached pics...I did intend replacing the joint with a nylock nut and bolt, but by query is, should the rivet be replaced with a similar type of fastener. IF so can anyone advise me what this type of fastener is called, so I could try and order some new ones.

That’s got to be either a mk3 or 4 Escort isn’t it? Not replaceable as a standard part so it’s a diy job. You could drill it out and fit a clevis pin perhaps?

Yep, a clevis pin or a shouldered bolt with a nyloc nut will work fine. Ford or Peugeot?

That is a tube rivet.
