Eric has just cited an article from an edition last year.

Am I the only one who, basically, just doesn't read WR now that it doesn't exist in print?

Until this year I was a member of the IET and there was also talk about it in the E&T mag, which I still seem to be getting, I have April 2017 one in front of me so never checked maybe I am still a member?

Oddly the cover says, Cyber Security Data in Danger from state secrets to smart homes, clearly the bosses of English NHS are not members!

Until this year I was ALSO a member of the IET, I'll let my membership lapse when it is up for renewal in the Autumn... may I ask why you are no longer a member?

I am retired and felt I had better use for the money. When I was still active I found the lecturers very good for keeping one updated, I thought I was a Student member I had never told them I had finished full time education, however I found I had been paying full whack for some years.

Are the lectures not free? I have been to a few over the years and as far as I know never cost anything.

Most are free, some have a fee, never really worked out what was free because a member and what was free to everyone.

I used to go to lectures occasionally - some were good, some were just plain wrong. I've let my membership lapse this year (after 41 years) as I just couldn't see any benefit in continuing. The magazine used to be good but has been dumbed down too much.
