Hi, I have a sink & tap from IKEA, I was hoping this would be a straightforward job, but I've got 2 issues:

1. The tail coming from the tap isn't long enough to reach the inlet connector
2. The tail doesn't fit the inlet connector either.

The tap tail ends in a 15mm male, and the inlet is 12mm male. I went to Plumbase where they gave me a variety of fittings to attempt to join these up. I've fitted them together, but still have leaks, mainly where the inlet meets the adapter. Do I just need to keep applying more tape until it doesn't leak? See the pic pls

Any help appreciated.. cheers

that would fit, with a short piece of copper in between the two hoses.

however you might struggle with the radius of the bend, if needed add an elbow in between so you dont kink the hoses
