Boiler is not igniting, the fan is running and it doesn't go to lock out. The green light stays on, pump's running and the pressure switch is working. The fuse in the pcb is fine. It seems to be pointing to the pcb board but not sure if the boiler is worth spening any money on from comments made in this forum. Can't seem to find a manual anywhere. Has anybody got a manual with a fault finding chart in it. Would be grateful for any help on this one.

It sounds to me as if its gas/safety related.

In that case the best advice is to get a competent boiler engineer to diagnose the fault.

Thanks for that Tony, but what I am finding is I am not getting to the gas lift stage or ignition or vice versa. With all the comments I have seen so far on this boiler I think it would be cheaper to change it rather than chase parts. Thanks anyway. Eamonn

I had missed the word "engineer" but have edited it back in!

But I think you understood it anyway.

I cannot give advice on gas or safety related matters here.

Because of the limited fault information your boiler is seen as a difficult one to work on so onloy a few engineers will be willing to come and I am sorry to say try to charge you when they are unable to identify the fault.

You should try to get a no-fix no-fee agreed before they come. That will sort the men from the boys!

Or a British Gas fixed fee repair.
