I intend to install an illuminated mirror in the bathroom. It will be controlled by a switch outside the door.
What kind off plug and socket can I use to connect it to the supply and for easy disconnection for maintainance etc

i'm not sure if a round pin 5A socket would be allowed in a bathroom, next to the ceiling???? Or hidden behind the cabinet/mirror? I'm sure someone who knows the regs better will advise, this is the ideal way to connect it. (i'm no spark)

Would not advise on a 5amp socket in a bathroom, you could maybe get away with it in zone 3 but not for zones 0,1 and 2.

Why does the cabinet need to be dissconnected for maintainance. Surely it a fixed unit. Therefore a flush connection unit could be used. Bathroom cabinets normally have a connection box inside or on the back.
