Hello All,
I have to buy an element for a friend and have some doubts about which one to buy, he informed me that it is impossible to get one 'over the shelf' in our town ? ( although large ), and as I am in Reading tomorrow he knows where I can get one !!!!
I visited the property tonight to have a look at the tank and found that it is a dual element, on-off peak setup. The elements are 'standard' Heatrae Sadia 'mega series' .11".
I went around to get the cash and he gave me £100 !!!
But then explained that it has been replaced 2 years ago and cost about £70, I buy electrical goods for an electrician sometimes and can get hold of an Aqualoy ? compatible element for @ £15 ,2 year warranty !! Online at Sadia the 'top notch' all singing all dancing 11" element is @£58 , 5 yrs warranty!
The water is hard in the area of the installation , I would like your advice on which element to buy please ? Quality costs I know, but seems a big difference.
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Sorry it was long winded !
