Immigrants, to pass A level English, or out

Net migration to the UK - total permanent arrivals minus total permanent departures - fell to 431,000 in 2024, down almost 50% on the total in 2023, when it reached a record high of 906,000.

The primary drivers for the recent decline were a fall in non-EU work and study visas, and an increase in people (especially students) leaving the UK. These changes were largely due to policy restrictions on international students bringing dependants and banning overseas care workers from bringing family members, which were announced by the previous government in early 2024 and took effect under the new administration.

Twisting facts to reflect Labour is doing a good job?
In one sense, the data suggest that Labour has made progress towards fulfilling its promise to lower net migration. However, declining numbers published as of mid-2025 did not result from the current government’s policies. In addition, the numbers alone do not tell us much about the impacts of net migration, which depend in large part on who is migrating, not just how many.

The whole mass immigration nightmare, which has added up to 20 million hostile foreigners to our population, was srarted by Labour in the late 90s. The so-called Conservative Party were a continuation of New Labour. The idea of tories v Labour is false.

I think that will exclude 99.9% of the immigrants, but such a test, would exclude 95% of the white British in the UK ;)
I remember Rishy wanting everyone to take A level maths, and Camoron forcing students to resit GCSE maths until they passed it (or gave up)
