Hi guys
i have a serious problem, when we have a storm ie rain and high wind from a certain direction the rain comes in through the gaps in the brickwork below the sandstone cill.
i need to put in a tray, from the outside as the bricks are loose in most of it.
i thought of a cavity tray but the prob is the house was built in 1912 and has engineering bricks in the old size ie 9"x4"x3".
can i get a long tray or individual trays in imperial sizes that will do the job?
There is only one course of brick below the stone cill and then a lead flashing from the bottom of the brick onto the porch slate roof.
Can i buy such a thing or will i have to make my own with lead or dpc.
I am not sure what i need as if i use dpc i can not suspend it from the inner leaf as it is all solid work with the huge stone cill resting on the both lnner and outer skins. the inner being sound and solid the outer being loose in the most part. i thought of making a lead tray about 6" wider than the cill say 4 foot long and having an upstand at the back of 3" and fully welded any suggestions please.
Thanks
Tom

answering my own post here.
I ordered some from cavity trays yovil they can make any size you want the same day you phone. They were £11 odd each but saved a lot of hastle and time.
