Indesit bwd71453 counter balance loose

Our washing machine has been making an awful noise for 3 weeks.
I ve just had the opportunity to take off the top cover and discovered the counter balance seems loose . I’ve tried the 10mm bolts and they are solid . Just a thought I wonder if the balance is depreciating hence why I can’t tighten them up .

I you can get the bolts out give them and the threads in the tub a good dose of WD40 or similar they should tighten up.
