I did look for this question already and found it, but the reply didn't help me so I thought I'd bring it up again.

my washing machine LED door lock is flashing, alone, and I can't stop it. I have let it finish a cycle and let it try to reset, and I have turned it off at the mains overnight and it's still flashing.

It was a year old on May 7 2008!! and Indesit want to send a one off job man and call out charge of £99.98 It only cost me £200 new.

Please please can anyone help me??

Have a close look at the door hook. You may have to take the door apart (not a nice experience on Indesit machines). The pin that holds the door hook in place can work it's way out and allow the hook to rise up. Thereby not activating the door lock properly.
Alternatively it could be a faulty door lock.
