my indesit washing machine has stopped doing the final spin and i have been told to check the filter but cannot find it, can anyone help or know of the fault, thanks

Is there still water in the drum when it comes to the end of the programme? If there is you do need to check the pump and associated plumbing. If not you should check the motor brushes. If they are also OK it will be the timer. Those particular Indesits were prone to a timer fault where it would fail to switch onto the final high speed part of the spin.
