Indesit WI101 misbehaving - 8 flashes

My WI101 has decided to screw up again, it being the summer (third year it's screwed up in the summer...)

If you put it on a program, let it start, it fills part way then pumps out and the dial just turns. Doesn't turn the drum or anything.

8 flashes, long pause, 8 flashes, long pause etc etc

Anybody any idea what's up with it this time? It usually ends up having a new circuit board (on about its fifth now I think. Thank heaven for the person who invented extended warranties!)

8 flashes. heater relay cannot be activated.
Relay is on the pcb.
Various things you could check but as it's under warranty you should call them out.
