indesit wixe127 washing machine sticks on 1 minute

hello people

looking for a little help with our washing machine. it is sticking at 1 minute left on the wash cycles but just keeeps running. i did manage to stop it by pressing the power off and moving it to memo and then power back on. it then unlocked the door.

all other options i have tried just keep running.

i only just told the girlfriend a few week back not to extend the warranty so i will be in the good books if its broken

any help would be greatfuly recieved

Heater had it. Need a New one.

i need a new heater? or washing machine?

just stuck machine on again and its not doing anything now. just making a click as if the motor is about to turn the drum then gives an electric motor hum clicks then silent. just keeps doing that not spinning the drum either

its now spinning drum a few time s every now and again.

is this worth the haslte of getting parts and repairing my self or just buying a new machine?

Check the motor brushes but heater can cause this. If brushes ok then heater has had it. Both parts less than 20 quid.

would the heater being knackered stop the machine doing a spin correctly?


i took the motor off to see the brushes and there is plenty life in them.
even trying a spin the machine will spin the drum for a bit then stops but never spinning as it should

Check the presure chamber is clear and the filter if that's ok then new heater req.
