Indesit WIXL143 won't run any programmes

Ok, when attempting to run any wash programme, the machine starts to fill, but will not get past this point. No lights flash, normal indicators are illuminated, but the drum does not rotate, and it's possible to hear some initiating clicks inside the machine.

It's still possible to open the door as long as a drain cycle has been run after filling.

Does this point to any specific areas for further investigation? This fault has occurred without warning following normal usage.

Confirmed - the brushes were worn down to approx 5mm length. New ones installed in 20 mins and all fixed. Many thanks
