Thanks again! Using a different electrician would be tricky and he’s been good so far, we just want to help him acquire a solution! It’s not the wiring the pir to the pump that’s the problem, it’s how we prevent activation of the 2nd pir sensor (we have 2 bathrooms upstairs) from turning off the pump, if it has been turned on beforehand by the 1st pir sensor. This situation could occur if both bathrooms are being used around the same time. Dan did indeed install our heating system, hopefully he can help!

Each pir wired to a time delay relay set to say 15 minutes should overcome this

Or a simple time clock set to an hour in the morning and 3 hours in the evening.

There's always the risk of over thinking a problem ;)

Seriously OP @Dan Robinson is the best to sort this for you he knows the system and he is great with controls, we are just having a bit of banter, he knows what he is doing , I would use him rather than your electrician

Cheeky :p... Not a regular situation this one. I only did the cylinder, boiler and controls. All other plumbing and whatnot is done by others - and done well.

Ian and Dan, thank you gentlemen, you've been really accommodating for which we're very grateful and we hope a solution has been found! We'll speak to our electrician tomorrow and will let you know how we get on.
