Hi all,

We have had this porch built and now want to lay a tiled floor.
Is it ok to apply tile adhesive straight onto the DPC visible near the door? If not what goes on first?

We’ll be putting down an uncoupling Matt too as the floor tiles will cover the screed floor and currently floor-boarded area too.
Any other tips for tiles spanning wood to concrete areas will also be gratefully received.

Thanks

Paul

That DPC should have been re-positioned. I.e. cut through the middle of the dpc and fold up out of the way. Remove 'x' courses of bricks, drop DPC down onto new low level masonry, lay polythene, insulation etc and screed, up to existing floor level.
