I am looking to install a normal on/off light with a built in motion sensor for my cupboard.

Does this just require a feed to the light and then the switching is done through the inbuilt sensor? No need for a switch wire?

The light I was looking at is a Thorn Lara Varioflex.

Thanks in advance.

Fit a switch if possible to turn off

Light switching is “control” which in this case is done by the pir so not generally needed

Normally a new install you would have permanent Live only, you can feed it from an existing switched live but then the sensor would only operate with the switch left on
Some fittings can have a switched wire added for manual overide but unlikely needed
