Would a standard 15mm compression fitting screw into a radiator where the bleed valve goes. ?

Reason for asking is going to make a little gadget to get my inhibitor my system. It will save me draining a radiator to check and can start making straight away.

Thanks

Yeh rad tappings are half inch i use a 15mm ball o fix attached to numerous bits and botsppbs to put inhibitor in. Put some ptfe on for good measure

Best to use one end of an iso valve!

Then you can use it to turn on and off as well as draining the system.

There are a few ways to make up something useful.

I often use an iso valve, short copper tube, compression elbow and the bowl of an auto air vent for the funnel. But can use a 22/15 endfeed adapter instead. That's usually large enough but a 22/28 mm adapter can also be used to give a larger opening.

Also have a length of hose fitted to another tube with a comp nut and olive which I use connected to the iso valve for draining.

Put your contraption into opposite end to rad bleed valve and when pouring inhibitor in, open the bleed it will not splutter then and put inhibitor on the walls.
Use iso valve to copper, a bit of hose pipe then funnel, as you wont get a good seal going from copper to that funnel, it will do for occasional doses.

Than You for answers really appreciate it. One more thing I have to put inhibitor in 4 properties and have some brand name CURA inhibitor here. IS it best to get shut of this and use Fernox ?

Oh for god's sake, get a small funnel, six inches of garden hose and a rad valve tail. Screw the rad valve tail into the rad top connection, shove the hose on that and the funnel into the hose. You'll never spill a drop.
