Inscription paint

Hi my sons inscription paint has completely flaked off after only 3 years , unfortunately his plot is under a tree, does anyone know of a protector to be used to protect the lettering once it’s been re guilded? The headstone itself is granite . Thankyou

I'm sorry we haven't been able to come up with a solution to what must be a very difficult circumstance.
